SOURCE LIBRARY · REVIEWED OCTOBER 2026
Evidence with
a clear origin.
Primary publications and datasets behind the research. Dates and definitions remain attached to each chart so that a global benchmark can be read in its proper context.
01 · FINANCIAL ACCESS
World Bank Global Findex
The 2025 edition is based on 2024 surveys of adults aged 15 and above. Regional aggregates exclude high-income economies. Account ownership includes qualifying mobile money; overlapping barrier answers and phone populations cannot be added.
02 · AGRICULTURE
Food, farms and the environment
SOFI 2026 supplies the latest food-security snapshot used here. Earlier SOFI 2025 series are retained with their edition labels. Farm estimates use mixed census years; losses, waste, water withdrawals and emissions have different reporting boundaries.
03 · IDENTITY
Entity references and roles
GLEIF is an external standards and reference-data source. These links do not establish a WAB affiliation, issuer qualification or integration. Accounting-parent data is distinct from a complete beneficial-ownership record.
04 · OPERATING CONTEXT
Finance and safeguards
Rural-finance and safeguard publications provide reference frameworks. Their inclusion does not establish that a financial product is approved or that WAB is independently certified against a standard.
05 · AI & OPERATING EVIDENCE
Intelligence and institutional work
The September 2026 a16z report informs the operating thesis. Its datasets, company examples and forecasts retain their individual scopes. AMCM supplies local banking guidelines; the FSB source is a consultation and NIST supplies voluntary guidance.
