A small team with institutional reach
WAB is being designed around an internal operating system with proprietary AI models. Central intelligence connects customer evidence, banking workflows and reporting so that a small permanent team can support a wider service capacity.
The banking model measures complete cost per verified case, quality, customer experience and credit performance. Staffing follows the institution’s actual responsibilities and supervisory process. The technology and operating design remain under development.
An institution around the value chain
WAB’s development plan connects rural customers with the financial services behind production and agricultural trade. The institution is being developed for Macao with the World Farmer Association. USD2 supplies the financial-capital role in the current partnership plan.
The customer relationship extends from everyday payments and saving to seasonal credit, business finance and trade services. Those products have different permissions, risks and operating needs. A clear institutional design connects them while preserving their boundaries.
The service families
The presentations describe a broad banking model. The following groups explain their commercial purpose; they are not a current product catalogue or tariff.
| Service family | Customer purpose | Operating dependency |
|---|---|---|
| Accounts and payments | Receive income, hold balances and pay obligations | Banking permissions, safeguarding, support and payment routes |
| Seasonal and enterprise lending | Bridge production or business cash flows | Credit assessment, affordability, security and servicing |
| Trade instruments | Support documented import and export obligations | Counterparty assessment, documents and banking partners |
| Infrastructure finance | Develop storage, processing or equipment | Longer cash flow, asset operation and environmental review |
| Digital customer access | Operate the relationship through a mobile interface | Identity, authority, security, accessibility and implementation |
Build the business from actual activity
Potential income categories include lending income, trade-instrument fees, payment and foreign-exchange services, and approved business-data services. Their contribution depends on licensed products, volumes, pricing and costs.
A business plan must connect each income line to an activity, customer segment, required capability and expense. No product rate, customer count or revenue forecast is established by the source presentations. Fund return assumptions are also outside the current brief.
Macao as the institutional base
Initial meetings and discussions with AMCM have taken place, as confirmed by the founding team. No banking licence has been approved. Formation, capitalization, management, controls and the operating model remain part of the development work.
An institutional base does not itself provide permission to offer banking products in every country connected to WFA. Each market needs its own legal and delivery arrangements. Partners, service points and products should be described according to the permission actually available.
Sequence capability with demand
The model can develop around coherent customer journeys: a farmer receiving and using money, a cooperative purchasing produce, or an enterprise financing a documented sale. Each journey connects product, controls, support and data.
The shareholder room sets out the ownership and cash-capital plan, the digital platform, the farmer-service business model and ESG operating priorities. Public research provides the broader context; it is distinct from WAB’s operating results.
